All our didatical activities are deployed in a digital platform that you can freely download here.

It is designed to be used in class or independently, with content suited to high school students and anyone curious about the cosmos.

Current release

1 - Introduction to cosmology. Gamified, interactive activities to familiarize with astronomical legthscales and objects, the evolution of the cosmo, and learn about the path of human discoveries and the instruments which made it possible. Use to acquaint students with unfamiliar topics or to contribute in public engagement initiatives.

2 - Dark matter. Scaffolded interactive activities, based on real observational data on individual galaxies or galasy clusters, to induce the existence and quantify the amount of dark matter in the Universe, using standard mathematical tools. The activites can be carried on individually or in small groups. See our tested didactical materials on how to use the app in the classroom.

Instructions

1. Accessing the App

• Local version: Download the .zip, unzip the folder, and open the .exe (click “Run Anyway” if prompted by protection systems).
• Online version: Click the “Online version” link above.

2. Authentication

Register a new user (create an account with username and password) to log in.
